HEALTHY WAY OF LIFE : Simple approach to boost your metabolism

Structure of adenosine triphosphate(ATP), a central intermediate in energy metabolism
Source : Wikipedia "Metabolism"

I remember I read from somewhere (in Malay) about how to boost your metabolism. Interestingly, it is quite simple. I am not sure whether it is scientifically proven or not but, let's have a go.

  1. Drink more water
  2. Never snacking (especially after 8pm)
  3. Increase caffein intake
  4. Avoid stress
  5. Enough sleep
  6. Eat raw food (vegetables and fruits minus the chemicals)
  7. Do more strength exercises
  8. Take vitamin D

The following are pilot training instructions listed in a travel periodical

Source : Anonymous
  1. Every takeoff is optional. Every landing is mandatory.
  2. If you push the stick forward, the houses get bigger. If you pull the stick back, the houses get smaller, unless you keep pulling the stick all the way back, in which case the houses get bigger again.
  3. Flying isn't dangerous. Crashing is dangerous.
  4. It's always better to be down here wishing you were up there than to be up there wishing you were down here.
  5. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
  6. The propeller is just a big fan in front of the plane to keep the pilot cool. When it stops, you can actually watch the pilot start to sweat.
  7. When in doubt, hold on to your altitude. No one has ever collided with the sky.
  8. A good landing is one you can walk away from. A great landing is one after which you can use the plane again.
  9. Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make all of them yourself.
  10. You know you've landed with the wheels up if it takes full power to taxi to the ramp.

MU .... End of an era

Last night, was the worst day for MU. Liverpool thrashed them 0-3. Surely, it marked as the end of an era to MUFC. With current tactical and playing form, MU is getting nowhere. As coach myself (archery), I can't blame my athlete. I am the one who should be blamed.

How to be a successful individual

Failure is not an option. Yeah right. Failure is a must to be successful. Its a sign that we made a first attempt. Explore things and keep on learning. Should you become a leader, be a same person. Don't be a jackass who treated people unfairly. My mentor told me, be firm and fair.

Finally, planning is vital alongside with self-confidence, perseverance and Lillahi Ta'ala ... لله تعالى

Signs to get a new job

Salam.

Once in 2-3 months, I will be contacted by my ex-students asking me about, should they move on or stay in the company that they work. Therefore, to help them in this matter, I prepared this mindmap.

I need comment from the readers on what to add or what to be removed from the mindmap.

Thanks.

How to be a great coach in sports and life

Salam to my readers

I just finished reading this great book by Marshall J Cook, how to be a great coach.

Interestingly, we are all coaches (although the main focus in this book is for corporate performance). We are coaches to our athletes, staffs, family members and our kids. The principle discussed in this book will give us some tips to be a great coach.

As usual, I mind mapped main points in this book and share some of my ideas to be a great coach. Please click the image to enlarge.

Have a nice day.

ARI visit

Thanks to Allah the visit was very successful. They went to Curtin Uni, UWA and ECU. Their mission is to establish research network and to find co-authors for their papers.

At ECU we organised Research colloquium and joined GRS's Research network program. I do hope that they enjoy their stay here.
